Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him from them all

Psalm 34:19 — “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.”1 Corinthians 10:13 — “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”

The Bible never promises a trouble-free life, even for those who walk with God. Psalm 34:19 tells us plainly: “Many are the afflictions of the righteous.” Pressure, pain, and opposition are part of the journey. Yet the heart of the verse beats with hope—“the Lord delivers him out of them all.” God is not absent in affliction; He is active in deliverance.

Paul reinforces this truth in 1 Corinthians 10:13 by reminding us of God’s faithfulness in moments of temptation and testing. Trials may come, but they are not beyond God’s control. He knows our limits, and He never abandons us to overwhelm. Instead, “He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”

God’s way is not always an escape from the struggle, but often the strength to stand within it. Sometimes the way He makes is wisdom to choose rightly, courage to resist, patience to wait, or grace to endure. Every test carries with it a divine pathway—one shaped by God’s love and guided by His faithfulness.

Together, these verses reveal a powerful truth: whether affliction surrounds us or temptation confronts us, God has already made a way. He is both Deliverer and Sustainer. What seeks to break you will not overcome you, because God is already working ahead of your situation.

So when the pressure feels heavy and the choices feel difficult, remember this—your struggle has an exit designed by God. Hold on to His promises. Trust His faithfulness. The Lord who sees your affliction and your testing has made a way—and He will see you through.
